So normally they are called mood board, but I am feeling a little spicey today and about this space. I want it to be colorful, bright, and fun. I want it to have the "let's have some fun up here" attitude, all ages, all activities, anything goes.
This is the piece de resistance. Roman shades in Schumacher charcoal Zimba. It is the fabric shown in this picture as curtains. I have loved this fabric since the day I first saw it 1 1/2 years ago. I love the pattern. To me, it looks like mountains and brings some outdoor feeling in the room. The outdoor feel coupled with the bold contrasting colors just sold it for me. I have ordered the fabric and will have some left over after making the shades so I am hoping to add a pillow in it too.
Designers Guild Orangerie. It is french inpired and I have never seen anything quite so beautiful. I love the bright red, bright blue, and it has come charcoal to tie in with the Zimba. This will be a long lumbar pillow for our love seat. I also hope to have enough to cover the two new desk chairs that will go with the new long skirted desk that I am putting between the two windows. This fabric will give me endless options on bold accent colors. I love the bright blue lamp paired with it below. I have ordered the fabric, but will have to get my hands on it before I can decide on any other fabrics or accent pieces, like lamps, picture frams, and trinkets.
